Great Quote

" There's no reason for wanting to do these things other than sheer curiosity. Which is what all art is about, really. It's the process by which we rehearse the only human advantage, which is imagination - the ability to concieve of things being different from the way they actually are.
A recent idea that I've been playing with a lot is this notion that art is one of the ways we drag ourselves into the future. Imagine you create an object that is a little tiny piece of the world that you can imagine existing. You can't build the whole world but you can build this thing that belongs in that world. So that becomes a little reference to you. You can pull yourself Foward on that. This is an idea I've been trying to clarify." Brian Eno, Word Magazine issue 30, August 2005 p91.
