Catchup
So last time I was here was about a year ago, bitching about flying to Perth...
since then stuff happened.
I finished touring for Bell, traveled around Australia with a Burlesque Troupe,
wrote a show, put it on, got rave reviews,

went to hospital, canceled the rest of the season,
went to Europe, hated the Netherlands,
loved Berlin
and Paris,
put on the show again at the largest fringe festival in the southern hemisphere (it went well) and got a nice gig with Windmill Theatre performing in Grug.
Now to try to keep this thing up to date and use it like I intended to - Postcards from the best of all possible worlds.Like Eno said.
Stuff like this.

A curated space for thoughts and the things I want to have in the world I want to live in. (Not America, just a world full of beautiful minds and artefacts).

Airliner Boredom
The flight to Perth, which is almost the same as the flight to Singapore, is terminally (no airport jokes intended) boring. This is not helped by the horror that is "He's Just Not That Into You" for inflight entertainment (although the over-dubbed swearing is fun).
This has meant that I have spent time programming curse-words into my phone, getting damaged on in-flight G&Ts and trying to concentrate so hard that I manage to pull this whole cabin and it's occupants foward in space and time by another two and a half hours...
It's more than an hour later and I am so bored that I have put nicknames for everyone into my contact list.
This is hell. I am beginning to worry about flying to Europe at the end of the year.

A Goodbye

Well Canberra, it's been...ok it's been a...oh fuck it, it's been average. Congratulations on your pretty trees and amazing museums and galleries, but it's time you did something about the rampant poverty and crime and the whole "there's nothing to do" problem. Oh yeah some sort of sex ed. program might sort out the whole teenage mums with blank faces and screaming children thing you have going on.
Ok your Wig and Pen micro-brewery is pretty good too.
So yeah, let's do it again in another six years.
It's been...average.
XO Lucas.
P.S. I think your weather is great and I envy your four distinct seasons, I just wish you weren't so beige.
